Tired of getting calls at all hours of the night? Or when you’re trying to have a fun weekend but your phone won’t stop ringing?
Then you should set your business hours!
Setting your business hours not only puts you in control of when you’re available for calls or texts, but also lets your customers know when they can expect a response.
It’s very easy to set your business hours on OpenPhone - we’ll show you how:
Setting Business Hours on the Web App
Step 1 - Navigate to your Phone Numbers
Go to My Phone Numbers
Step 2 - Select the Phone Number
Click on the phone number you’d like to set business hours for. Or, you can go into the phone number settings right from that phone numbers tab.
Step 3 - Scroll Down to Business Hours
Once you’ve selected the phone number you’d like to set business hours for, scroll down to “Business Hours” in the phone number settings and toggle the button on the bottom right hand side to enable business hours.
This will result in a business hour drop down menu where you can edit your availability.
Step 4 - Set Your Business Hours
From here, you can select the appropriate time zone for you and select your daily availability by clicking on your hours to the right of the day you’d like to set.
Once you’ve inputted your availability, click save. If you’d like for your phone to be available or unavailable for that entire day, select “Open all day” or “Closed all day” respectively.
Next, you’ll be prompted with the option to copy your selected business hours to additional days by checking the corresponding boxes.
Note: the default setting is “Open all day”. If you don't want to receive calls on a specific day, be sure to select "Closed all day".
Step 5 - (Optional) Set Your Away Voicemail Greeting
While there is a default Away Voicemail Greeting, if you’d like to set up a custom voicemail greeting for callers outside of your business hours, then click “Change” to the right of “Away Voicemail Greeting”.
From here, you’ll be prompted to upload an existing file, record a new greeting, or utilize text-to-speech.
