Sometimes an OpenPhone call could get directed to your personal voicemail. 

This could happen in the following 2 scenarios:

1. You're forwarding your OpenPhone calls to a personal phone number

Solution: Turn off call forwarding. You will still be able to get calls directly through the app.

Here's how:

  • Launch OpenPhone app
  • Go to Account on the top left
  • Tap on your OpenPhone number → Tap "Forwarding"
  • Remove call forwarding by deleting the forwarding number

2. You're using carrier calling

Using carrier calling might cause an issue where business calls get routed to your personal voicemail. 

A sure solution to this problem would be switching from carrier calling to Internet calling. 

To do this:

  • Launch OpenPhone app
  • Go to Account on the top left → "Preferences"
  • Route incoming calls via Internet (not carrier)
